Replica rough Premier Rose diamond

Replica of the rough Premier Rose diamond, one of the great rare diamonds mined in De Beers' Premier Mine in South Africa. The Premier Rose diamond was mined in March 1978. The diamond was bought by Mouw Diamond Cutting in Johannesburg through a partnership with William Goldberg of New York. The diamond was marked for cutting by Rose Mouw, wife of founder Jacob Mouw, after whom the diamond was also named.
