Renaissance ring

1500 - 1600

This octahedron-shaped diamond was only polished rather than cut so as to retain its natural form. This is one of the oldest rings in our collection. Sixteenth-century jewels are now extremely rare which makes the ring a very valuable piece, particularly because it is still in such good condition.
