Pocket watch
1880 - 1934
In the first half of the twentieth century every self-respecting man had a watch embellished with his initials, coat of arms or a personal inscription. This gold watch is engraved with a coat of arms with three flowers under a crown. Attached to a robust gold or platinum watch chain, it was stowed away in a trouser or jacket pocket. At the beginning of the century time began to migrate to the wrist, sparking a growing fashion trend for the wristwatch.
