Sculpture: Allegorical figure of female Pan

1715 - 1725

The fact that the back of the figure, with the exception of the head, is hollow and unworked, suggests that it was probably intended for a niche or to be placed against a wall, possibly as a companion piece to a male figure, a Faun or a Silenus.
