Cigarette etui

1866 - 1922

Tobacco was brought to Europe by Christopher Columbus who discovered it on a voyage to the Americas at the end of the fifteenth century. The use of tobacco quickly spread all over the European continent. From the beginning of the twentieth century the cigarette was the most popular tobacco product and a veritable smokers’ cult developed with related products and accessories.
