Delheid Frères
The Brussels firm Delheid was founded c. 1828 by Michel Delheid. The well-known maker's mark of Delheid Frères, the letter D crowned by a little snake, was registered on the 23rd of January 1862. Delheid Frères is mainly known for its large output of silver implements in neo-styles. The firm's big breakthrough came in the 1920's-1930's and coincided with the success of the Art Deco-style in Belgium. The workshop of Delheid Frères stayed active till the early years of the 1980's.
