Dor, Daniël

Son of the pewterer Franchois Dor. Daniël I Dor was married to Elizabeth Matheusen. He was registered in the craft guild of pewterers in 1584. Between 1603 and 1636 he was fourteen times the dean of the guild. We know, by consulting different documents, that Dor had positive contact with the pewterers guild of Ghent and Bruges. He past away on the 8th of November 1648 at his house on the Vlasmarkt in Antwerp, leaving three kids: Francis (5 years), Daniël II (3 years), and Maria Anna (18 months).
