Maison E. Debaus

Brussels firm of silversmiths. The foundation of the house 'E. Debaus' took place in 1845. Its activities were continued in Brussels for three generations. C. 1910 the firm is mentioned as follows: 'Mon E. Debaus H. Vander Ouderaa - H. Mertens Fabricants-Orfèvres'. R. Debaus or De Baus propably produced after designs by Léopold van Strijdonck (1865-1927). He was active as a jeweller till 1930 at least.
