Bonnavera, Jean Baptiste

Goldsmith and jeweller, specialised in necklaces. Jean Baptiste Bonnavera, son of Dominique Bonnavera and Pierrette Rigodia, was born on 12 May 1862 in the 5th arrondissement of Lyon. In 1899 he registered his maker's mark on the Lyon insculpation plate: 'JB between which a diamond', later followed by 'JB between which an ace of hearts. In the same year the process for his naturalisation is started. In 1900 he marries Victorine Sagnard, at which time he lives at 31 Rue Mercière. He dies on 14 August 1934, living at Rue Centrale 15, in the 2nd arrondissement of Lyon.
