Tiara with wings

In 1899 Richard Wagner’s opera ‘Die Walküre’ was performed for the first time, giving rise to a veritable Wagner mania. Elements from the opera found their way into aspects of daily life, including jewelry. The wings in this crown refer to the winged helmets of the protagonists. The two parts are detachable so that they can also be worn as brooches.
