Monoyer, Nicolas Laurent Joseph

Born in Mons on 7 May 1782, the son of silversmith Jean Népomucène and Liénard Marie Norbertine. On 27 April 1808, he married Marie Jospeph Eleuse in Mons. He succeeded his father as assayer in Mons in 1809. From 1814, he was appointed master. Between 1809 and 1832, he was active as a silversmith in Mons. After this, he moved to Brussels to return to work as an assayer until 1858. There he died in 1862.
