El-Asmar, Nedda

Nedda El-Asmar, born on July 26th 1968. Between 1987 and 1991 she studied jewellery and silver making at the Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten in Antwerp. Sh then went on to do a post)graduate course at the Royal College of Art in London. She settled her in Antwerp as a product developer and designer of utility objects. She designed objects for Orfèvrerie Christofle, Puiforcat and Hermès. In 1997 she received the Sterckshof commission and the Henry van de Velde Prijs 1997.
