During this workshop, you will be introduced to the technique of sand casting, a method still used to create beautiful, detailed jewellery. You will learn step-by-step how to design, cast, and finish your own piece of jewellery.
The workshop begins with an introduction to sand casting, where you'll learn about the history and basic principles of this technique. Next, you'll work on creating your own design and preparing the molds. Then, you'll learn how to melt and pour metal into the sand molds—a thrilling and essential part of the process. Once the casting is complete, we will focus on finishing techniques: cleaning, filing, polishing, and finalizing your jewellery. Throughout the workshop, you'll receive practical tips and tricks to further develop and refine your skills.
Practical information:
- All materials included. We cast in brass; if you wish to work in silver, you may bring your own.

Disclaimer
Do you have to cancel your workshop? Up to two weeks (14 days) before the start of the workshop, you pay a € 50 administration fee. If you cancel less than two weeks before the workshop start date, you will be charged the full amount. However, you can always suggest a substitute.
The organiser has the right to cancel the workshop in case of insufficient (paying) registrations or force majeure circumstances. You will then receive a full refund.
