Parure in case
1810 - 1815
The parure or set of jewels is made using the original English technique of cut steel. The parure consists of a hair comb, a necklace, a pair of earrings and all this was kept in a custom-made case made of morocco leather. The design style of the jewels is typical of the period of the First Empire (1804-1814/1815). During this period the antique style was in fashion, this interest was stimulated by archeological discoveries in the previous century such as the excavations of Herculaneum and Pompeii (Italy).
